The Life of a Religious Sister

From the day our six Franciscan Sisters left the life they knew in Calais, France, and arrived in 20th century Louisiana, they were united in a single spiritual purpose: to serve God by caring for the sick and poor. Since 1911, we have held steadfast in our healing ministry, relying on our faith to guide us as we continually adapt to healthcare challenges for over 100 years. Learn about the women in our Congregation today and how we became Sisters of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady.
